Planning a special event or conference for your group or event? Our Conference Centre is perfect for conferences of small to medium size, as well as wedding receptions and other social occasions.

Short Day Time Visits

Falls Forest Retreat welcomes visits by small- to medium-size groups for teas and light lunches, with walks and activities like bird watching, plant identification, or simply enjoying a beautiful situation.

It is essential to pre-book for such visits, preferably giving us several days notice.

Mid-North Coast residents or travellers passing on the highway are welcome to make brief visits to see for themselves what the place offers. If possible, a phone call in advance on (02) 6556 5000 would be appreciated so that we are ready to show you around.

Our Yoga Shed

Our newly updated Yoga Shed is ideal for small groups to meet, exercise and relax.

The Yoga Shed, Ideal for Small Groups

A converted barn, now lined and insulated (with air-conditioner if required) and a soft carpet that has a sponge-rubber underlay, exercise and relaxation classes, and other activities.

The serenity of the surrounding mountains and rainforest enhance the peaceful space.

The shed can be darkened for slide shows and lectures.

Our saltwater pool is just metres away from the conference center and your own private patios!

Enjoy bushwalking and bird watching in our 200 acres and the adjacent State Forest and National Park.

Help us to compile a bird list and an inventory of resident littoral rainforest wildlife and plant species (more than 100 species of birds recorded so far).

The Cascades

A giant fig tree, at least two hundred years old, welcomes you to the Retreat where you can re-establish your connection with Nature and shed the stress of your busy everyday life.

Our Walking Trails

Our trails join paths in the surrounding Middle Brother National Park and State Forest, enabling you to enjoy long bushwalks and visit a spectacular waterfall.

Our Cascades Trail follows Jerrys Creek to the deep natural swimming holes in pristine forest.
The Platypus Trail on the lower section of Jerrys Creek beside our driveway is a gentle walk that takes less capable visitors into flooded gum forest (and offers hope of seeing a platypus).
The Palm Trail along a steep gully on the side of Middle Brother mountain is rough, but a rewarding excursion.

Several new trails are being constructed:

The Dark Gully - Magic Tree Walk for children
Educational trails on which all the trees are labelled so that the botanically-minded can identify the most common species.
