DRIVE:

Drive the Pacific Highway, now much upgraded. (Less than 3½ hrs from Sydney.)

FINDING FALLS FOREST RETREAT:

Turn west off the Pacific Highway at Johns River, a small village with general store and garage half way between Taree and Port Macquarie. A signpost reads Hannam Vale, Stewarts River Road and Falls Forest Retreat.

Follow Stewarts River Road for 600 metres and take the first turn to the right, signposted Isaacs Lane and Falls Forest Retreat 4 km.

Isaacs Lane takes you through picturesque dairy country beside South Brother Mountain and ends at the Falls gate, right below Middle Brother Mountain, so you can’t miss us.

There are two causeway creek crossings and a muddy dam overflow, sometimes with shallow water flowing across the roadway, but presenting no problem for vehicles.
